Fact 4: One of the most bizarre Mopar magazine tests of all time was titled “The Airstream Grand Prix” and involved a 1968 Hemi Road Runner (and a Buick Le Sabre 350/280, Chevy Caprice 427/385, and Pontiac Ventura 400/340).
A self-admitted “abusive test of car, hitch, and trailer,” the story appeared in the November 1968 issue of Motorcade magazine.
Listen closely to “Born To Run” and you’ll hear The Boss sing, “Beyond the Palace, Hemi-powered drones scream down the boulevard.” Sweeet!
