Just wondering if anyone's tried speed dating around here. I guess he was paired with another guy and they went around to different tables to talk with pairs of women. Anyone is welcome, but this event is primarily for people in their 20s. Hmmmm, nobody's sharing their speed dating experiences. Either: 1) Speed dating is great, and everyone who's tried it is too busy with thier dates to read the forum anymore. 2) Speed dating stinks, but telling the tale is just too embarrassing. 3) Nobody here has actually tried it because it's pretty easy to find a date without needing a gimmick like this. Me and my friend wandered into a restaurant in DC in search of some happy hour drinks (which I rarely do) and this fairly attractive lady comes up and says, "you guys are just what I was looking for".
I later found out that they were holding a fundraiser which involved speed dating and up to that point mostly women signed up.

Speed dating first evolved over a decade ago, but it has become much more popular in recent years, especially among baby boomers and seniors.
I would recommend it as something fun and entertaining NOT as a real-life e-harmony.
